Potty Training Success!!!!!

Ian is FINALLY potty trained. We started working with him in May of last year. He has been mildly resistant to our efforts until recently. He didn't seem to mind #2 in his diaper. It was frustrating to say the least, but we persisted. I'm not sure if he just suddenly became ready or if we finally learned how to speak his language, but it finally clicked. We told him that we weren't going to buy anymore diapers, so when his last few diapers ran out, he was going to have to start wearing underwear. It might have helped also that we began to reward him for not having #2 in his diaper. Whatever it was, he is now potty trained during the day. HALLELUJAH!!! Oh, the joy at not having to change poopy diapers on a three year old anymore. Funny that he would get out of diapers right when the odor of Ember's diapers begins to offend us just as much as Ian's did previously. Oh well, at least we only have one to change, instead of two. I hear that girls are easier to potty train than boys, so maybe we'll be able to get Ember out of diapers within the year. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
